DESCRIPTION:TTGMS has booked a Field Trip for 2/28/2026\, on the Saturday following our upcoming General Meeting. The theme will be Limestone and Copper.  Can you guess where we will be going?\n\nThe Kansas State Capitol Building.  We will meet inside the Capitol at 10:00am (when it opens).  This will be a self-guided tour like at the History Museum.  We will have an hour and 15 minutes to look around until our scheduled Dome Tour at 11:15.  If you don’t get around the rest of the building by then\, you can resume the self-guided tour after the Dome Tour.  296 steps.  Bring you hiking shoes.

DESCRIPTION:Your Field Trip Committee is delighted to announce that the May 18th field trip will be in search of fossils at Turkey Point south of Osage City near Melvern Lake.  We will meet east of Osage City at the commuters parking lot on the corner of 75 and 31 highways for sign in and group picture.  Please come early – we’ll be there 9:00ish.  Plan on  heading out at 10:00 sharp.  We will be searching around a three corner intersection.  Please be on high alert for traffic at all times.  This is a good place to make Safety Vests mandatory.  Hope to see you there.
